The Provins Rugby Tournament

Provins is a French medieval town and a UNESCO world heritage site, 80km east of Paris, 40km from Disneyland Paris and host of the annual Provins Junior Rugby Tournament. The Provins Rugby Tournament will take place on the Saturday from 2pm to 6pm and on the Sunday from 9am to 7pm. It will be refereed by official referees, following the rules of IRB. It is open to 2 rugby classes: under 17's and under 15's. The two playing fields are on the same sports centre site. The number of teams in each class is limited to 10.

Sunday Lunch will be offered to 25 persons per team, in the school canteen next to the tournament playing fields. Each team will be rewarded with prizes and each competitor will receive a souvenir of the tournament. The event starts with a parade in town on Saturday May 2nd at 10am, followed by the tournament all day on Saturday. Saturday night, there will be a meal with music for the guest teams. Sunday is the finals day and time to wind down after the tournament has finished.

Accommodation for the tournament

Your accommodation has been specifically chosen from our extensive experience of working with youth rugby groups in France. We have a good range of options and will give more details with each new enquiry.

Travel

On Day One of the tour, you will be met at your home club by one of our Executive Coaches. Your friendly driver will welcome you aboard and transport you to Provins. Each Coach will be fitted with Air-Conditioning, an onboard toilet and a DVD/Video facility. Your coach will be available throughout the weekend to transfer you to the Tournament Venues, before taking you home on the Monday. Ferry crossings will be via Dover/Calais.
