Wakke Memorial Rugby Tournament

The 18th annual Wakke Memorial rugby 10s tournament, in remembrance of the deceased captain and co-founder of Laakdal RFC , Walter 'Wakke' Goris takes place every May. Rugby club Laakdal was founded over 25 years ago and wants to make it a very special tournament with a ladies and mens tournament. 6 to 12 clubs, from around 4 different countries will compete for the Wakke Memorial Cup. The tournament will be played in 3 or 4 groups, from which the winners go to the semi-finals, and so on. Each team will play at least 3 games of 2 x 10' (most probably 4).

With group games and knock out tournament the rugby is competitive but make no mistake the social side to this tournament is second to none. Laakdal Rugby Club are great hosts and will make sure you have a great time.
