Darlington Colts Sports Tour Report
Edinburgh, Capitals Cups
11th-13th April 2009
"The pool games were organised well and we won all our games. The food for the lads was good and the facilities for the tournament were what you would expect from a well-organised set up.
The hostel was only about 20 minutes away from the pitch and had the added bonuses of being next to loads of bars and not forgetting Edinburgh castle.
The accommodation was excellent. The food and beer were spot on and the staff were polite and efficient. There was a nice courtyard to the premises and we used this for our tour court with Andy (judge) Thompson presiding.
The next day, breakfast which was nice and also sunny again. Planned for a later start for the rugby semis so some people toured the town, mainly the supporters as the lads were still suffering a bit.
The end of tournament and food put on was well organised and also by this time the beer was flowing well (for those old enough) and you could tell this as some of our lads attempted to shine a light with some of the Canadian ladies. When finished a retreat was made back to the accommodation and then out around town where a good night was had by all some not arriving back till 6 in the morning (don’t ask, we didn’t). Breakfast was had, and rooms cleared ready for the travel back home.
All in all a excellent tour was had by all some of the lads saying it was orsome on face book well done Tours 4 Sport for a brilliant weekend.
