The Rugby Tournament
The U16 and U18 tournament will take place at Edinburgh Academicals RFC - the host of the first ever Calcutta Cup match. A maximum of 8 teams per age category will compete in two groups of four teams. Day one will see each side in the group play each other to establish league standings. Full XV a side games will be played in 2 x 15 minute halves.
The top half of the league standings will come together on Day 2 to compete for the Capitals Cup through semi finals and final. The teams in the bottom half of the league standings will follow the same format to determine the Plate winners. Hosts Edinburgh Academicals will strive to retain their title, having defeated Newport Saracens in a pulsating final infront of a packed stand in 2009.
Tournament Hospitality
Group leaders are invited to a meeting on Friday evening to confirm tournament format and regulations. The Tournament Draw will then be made. The Tournament will be officially opened at Raeburn Place (home of the Accies) on the Saturday morning.

During the Rugby on both days, the host club will stage an excellent BBQ and stock the bar high with drinks and refreshments. The Tournament will culminate with an awards ceremony and party at Edinburgh Academicals RFC. The winning captains will be presented with the trophies and prizes. All guests will be entertained by live music, drinks and food
