Adult & University Sports Tour Information

In this section you'll find general information about our sports tours, as well as more information on Tours 4 Sport. You may also like to visit our Frequently Asked Questions for further information. To see what we can arrange for your group, please contact one of our dedicated tour managers, who will help you to tailor-make a trip to suit your team.

Travel Options

There are a number of travel options available and our experienced sports tour managers will be very pleased to discuss the options with you.

Coach Travel: If you are travelling to Western Europe, then coach travel is ideal. We are able to arrange a variety of different coaches, from mini-coaches (up to 30 seats) to cruisers (up to 72 seats) and we will arrange the coach most suitable for your group. Generally, coach travel is more cost effective for larger groups.

Air Travel: Tours 4 Sport is a fully-bonded sports tour operator and, as such, has an ATOL license (ATOL 5079). This means that we can advise you on the best times, fares and routes, as well as actually arrange your flights for you.

We work very hard to make sure that the accommodation that we offer is the most suitable for groups in each area and are able to offer a variety of options, from central hostels to holiday parks and even 4* hotels. Whether you are travelling to the another city in the UK, or abroad, we will listen to your requirements and will always advise you as to the best option for your specific group.

Please note that hotel grading is not standardised worldwide and so a 4* hotel in Central Europe could be the equivalent of a 3* hotel in the UK. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions regarding your accommodation. We are always happy to provide further information on your accommodation, including the address, so that you can have a look before you go.

Sports Fixtures or Tournament Entry

Trust us, by far the trickiest part of organising a sports tour is arranging fixtures and tournaments. Allow us to take the stress out of your trip by making these arrangements. We have strong links with local clubs, agents and tournament organisers in all of the destinations that we offer, often making it much easier for us to organise this element of the tour than an independent group would find it. We will discuss with you the level of your team, before arranging fixtures against sides of a similar level, to ensure that your players are challenged.

We only offer tournaments that have a good reputation and that we have experience of. Each tournament has been carefully selected to ensure that it offers teams the complete package, and there is generally an option for all ability levels.

Financial Security

We understand that when you book your sports tour through us, you are placing your trust in us to deliver excellent service, as well as financial security. Tours 4 Sport is a division of Halsbury Travel, which is one of the UK's largest and most recognisable school and group tour operators. Halsbury Travel is a member of ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) which is an organisation dedicated to raising standards of quality, safety, service and financial security. Membership of this association means that you can be sure that you are in safe hands when booking through us, and that you are financially protected, as the OFT only approves codes that are effective in safeguarding and promoting consumer interests beyond the basic requirements of the law.

All air tours and flights arranged by Halsbury Travel are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority, and our ATOL number is ATOL 5079. This protection primarily covers customers who book and pay in the United Kingdom. For further information, you may like to visit the ATOL website

In addition to all this, Halsbury Travel is also an Assured Member of the School Travel Forum (STF). This means that we understand and are able to facilitate the requirements of educational travel and have effective Safety Management Systems in place. It also means that we have been recognised for offering fair terms and conditions, as well as the best financial security.

Customer Service

All of us here at Tours 4 Sport are passionate sports people and are enthusiastic about sports travel. Our past experience as customers of other sports tour companies, we understand the requirements of groups, and the frustration of not receiving satisfactory customer service. We have many groups that return to us year on year, because they are satisfied with the service that we provide, and are pleased with the way we treat them. We know that your team is unique and that this means you need a sports tour designed specifically for you. From the moment you enquire about a tour, you will be assigned a dedicated tour manager, who will support you every step of the way.

Whilst our normal office hours are 08.30 until 18.00 daily, we are also contactable out of hours for urgent enquiries whilst you are away.

Although you will, of course, wish to focus on your sport, it is important to factor in some down time for your players, to allow them to relax and, with this in mind, we have designed some fantastic activities in all of our locations. Your sports tour manager will discuss with you what is available, as well as how many organised activities you wish to include on your tour. They will work with you to create the best itinerary for your group.

Representatives and Assistance

Some (though not all) sports tours automatically qualify for representative assistance from our staff in the UK or from our representative offices all over the world. Your sports tour manager will, of course, discuss this with you before you make your booking. When you receive your quote, you will see that it contains all the details regarding the assistance that will be available to you during your tour.

“Such a wonderful rugby tour to Paris. All the boys and adults had a truly memorable time. Everything from hotel, coach transfers and fixtures were spot on, we enjoyed amazing hospitality and even managed to bring home some trophies. We would be happy to plan future tours with you.”
